I finally found an appropriate Wood to make the La Belle 1684 from and that is some recycled Hemlock.
I’ve planed the pieces to the appropriate thicknesses of 1/2” and 3/8” and today I’ve applied the pattern templates to the pieces. You will notice I have a white and also clear contact paper on top of the Hemlock. That is only due to availability at the store and not function.
I quite prefer this paper for larger pieces as the removal process is so very easy to peel off.
Next step is too drill any holes and review each piece before cutting out the Hull pieces, bear with me on progress as Winter is upon me and hobby time is limited.
